Jennifer Elaine "Jenny" Stoute (born April 16, 1965) is a former English sprinter. She ran for Great Britain in the Olympic Games in 1988 and 1992. At the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, she won a bronze medal in the 4x400 metres relay race. Jennifer also became famous as "Rebel" on the TV show Gladiators from 1996 to 1999.

Early Life and Start in Athletics
Jennifer Stoute was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. Her parents came from Barbados. She first gained attention in 1986 at the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, Scotland. She reached the 200 metres final but had to stop due to an injury.
Olympic and European Success
In 1988, Jennifer competed in the Olympic Games in Seoul. She was part of the British 4 × 400 m relay team that finished sixth. The next year, she placed fourth in the 200 metres final at the European Indoor Championships.
In January 1990, Jennifer went to the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand. She finished fourth in the 200 metres, very close to a bronze medal. She also came fifth in the 400 metres. Jennifer then won two relay medals. She earned a silver in the 4 × 100 m relay and a gold in the 4 × 400 m relay. Her teammates for the gold medal were Angela Piggford, Linda Keough, and Sally Gunnell.
Later in 1990, at the European Championships in Split, she won another bronze medal. This was for the 4 × 400 m relay with Pat Beckford, Linda Keough, and Sally Gunnell. In 1991, she faced another injury during the World Championships.

The best part of Jennifer's running career was in 1992. At the Barcelona Olympics, she ran her fastest 200 metres race, finishing in 22.73 seconds. This helped her reach the semi-finals. She then won a bronze medal in the 4 × 400 m relay. Her teammates were Phylis Smith, Sandra Douglas, and Sally Gunnell.
Jennifer competed at the 1993 World Championships, reaching the quarter-finals of the 200 metres. After dealing with injuries for two years, she tried to qualify for the 1996 Olympics. She finished fifth in the 200 metres at the British Olympic trials but did not make the team. Her last big competition was the 1997 World Indoor Championships.
Life After Athletics: "Rebel" the Gladiator
From 1996 to 1999, Jennifer Stoute became famous in a different way. She appeared as "Rebel" on the popular TV show Gladiators. In this show, athletes competed in various physical challenges. She also returned for a revival of the show in 2008 and appeared in two special episodes.
Jennifer has two daughters. Alicia Jazmin was born in 2001, and Renee Stefani was born in 2005. Both were born in Bromley, Greater London.
