In 2004, when he was 19, Jeremiah moved to Los Angeles. For his first year there, he sometimes stayed with friends or even in his Jeep. His first apartment was very close to Covenant House, which is a shelter for homeless teenagers. Later, Jeremiah helped redesign that shelter.
