Jeremiah Jordan Rivers was born on July 27, 1987. He is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball at Georgetown University and later at Indiana University. Jeremiah also went to Winter Park High School in Florida. His dad, Doc Rivers, was a famous NBA player and coach. His brother, Austin Rivers, also played in the NBA.
Playing Professional Basketball
After finishing college, Jeremiah Rivers started his professional basketball career. In August 2011, he joined a team called Mega Vizura in Serbia.
Unfortunately, Jeremiah hurt his ankle in January 2012. This injury meant he missed the rest of the 2011–12 season. He played 14 games for Mega Vizura, scoring about 6.2 points in each game.
After his ankle surgery, Jeremiah played in the 2012 Las Vegas NBA Summer League. He played four games with the New York Knicks. In these games, he scored about 3.5 points and grabbed 1.8 rebounds per game.
Jeremiah's Family Life
Jeremiah Rivers is the oldest son of head coach Doc Rivers and Kristen Rivers. His younger sister, Callie, played volleyball for the University of Florida. She is married to NBA player Seth Curry.
His younger brother, Austin, used to play in the NBA. He is now a basketball analyst. His youngest brother, Spencer, played basketball for UC Irvine.
