Jeremy Taggart's Music Career
Joining Our Lady Peace
In 1993, Our Lady Peace needed a new drummer. Their previous drummer, Jim Newell, left the band. The band members and their managers held auditions. They listened to over one hundred drummers. Jeremy Taggart, who was 17 years old at the time, was chosen.
The band offered him the drumming job, and Jeremy accepted. Our Lady Peace had just signed a record deal with Sony Music Canada. They were also playing small shows in clubs. Because Jeremy was only seventeen, there was a small problem. Performers usually needed to be 19 years old to play in clubs in Ontario.
In June 2014, Jeremy Taggart announced that he had left Our Lady Peace.
