Jerome "Hiana" Thompson, Jr. was born on June 4, 1988. He is a professional lacrosse player from the Haudenosaunee (pronounced "HO-den-o-SHAW-nee") people. His family is part of the Onondaga Nation, and he belongs to the Hawk Clan.
Jerome plays lacrosse for the Albany Firewolves in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). He was first chosen by the Buffalo Bandits in 2011. He officially joined the team for the 2015 NLL season.
Jerome comes from a family of talented lacrosse players. His mother, Doloris Thompson, is Onondaga. His father, Jerome Thompson, Sr., is Mohawk from Akwesasne. Jerome has three brothers who also play in the NLL: Jeremy, Lyle, and Miles.
