Jeremy Thompson was born on January 3, 1987. He is a professional lacrosse player from the Haudenosaunee people. He belongs to the Hawk Clan of the Onondaga Nation. Jeremy plays for the Georgia Swarm in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). He also plays for the Atlas in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL).
Jeremy won two national championships in junior college lacrosse. He was also a second-team All-American player at Syracuse University. Jeremy and his brothers play together on the Iroquois men's national lacrosse team.

Growing Up and Lacrosse
Jeremy grew up in the Onondaga Nation in New York. He was one of five children. His mother, Doloris, was Onondaga. His father, Jerome Thompson, was Mohawk from Akwesasne.
Jeremy and his brothers, Jerome (Hiana), Miles, and Lyle, started playing lacrosse very young. Lacrosse is important in Native American culture. It has a special spiritual meaning.
Jeremy went to LaFayette High School near Syracuse, New York. He helped his team win two state championships. He was also named an Under Armour and US Lacrosse All-American player.
College Lacrosse Journey
After high school, Jeremy Thompson went to Onondaga Community College. While there, he helped his team win two NJCAA national championships. They also won two Mid-State Conference championships and two Region III championships. In his two years at OCC, his team, the Lazers, had a perfect record of 31 wins and no losses. They won two national championships without losing a single game.
After junior college, Jeremy went to Syracuse University. This was close to his hometown of Nedrow, NY. In his first season at Syracuse, he was named a USILA Second Team All-American. He was also All Big East. In his senior year, he was a Third Team All-American and All Big East again.
His brothers Miles and Lyle both played lacrosse at the University of Albany. Their cousin Ty Thompson also played there. His other brother Jerome (Hiana) played with Jeremy at Onondaga Community College.
Professional Lacrosse Career
Jeremy Thompson plays in both the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). In the NLL, he plays for the Georgia Swarm. In the PLL, he plays for the Atlas.
He started his Major League Lacrosse (MLL) career with the Florida Launch. Later, he was traded to the Chesapeake Bayhawks with his brother Lyle Thompson in 2017. He joined the Atlas team in the PLL in 2019 after playing for the Chaos in the first PLL season.
Thompson has also played for other teams. These include the Buffalo Bandits, Edmonton Rush, Saskatchewan Rush, and Panther City Lacrosse Club. Before the 2023 NLL season, he was traded to the Georgia Swarm. This was the first time he played with his brothers Lyle and Miles on the same NLL team. They had played together before for the Florida Launch in the MLL. Their brother Hiana plays for the Albany FireWolves. Hiana also played for the Georgia Swarm with Lyle and Miles in the past.
