Jerrika Hinton is an American actress. She is most famous for playing Stephanie Edwards in the TV show Grey's Anatomy.

Early Life and Education

Jerrika Hinton was born and grew up in Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas. Her mother, Cynthia, used to work for the government. Her father is Avaleon Hinton.

She finished college in 2002. She studied theatre at Southern Methodist University's Meadows School of the Arts. She earned a special degree called a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She also learned about directing and writing plays.

Her Acting Journey

Jerrika Hinton started her acting career on stage. She first appeared in a movie called Rain in 2006. After that, she acted in many TV shows. Some of these include Gilmore Girls, Everybody Hates Chris, Zoey 101, and Gossip Girl. She also appeared in Bones and Scandal.

In 2012, Jerrika joined the cast of Grey's Anatomy. She played a new intern named Stephanie Edwards. She became a main character on the show for several seasons.

After Grey's Anatomy, Jerrika took on new roles. In 2017, she starred with Holly Hunter in the HBO drama series Here and Now. She played Ashley Collins, an adopted child in the story.

Later, she played Natalie Gorman in the show Servant from 2019 to 2021. Since 2020, she has been playing Millie Morris in the Amazon Prime series Hunters. She also appeared in the show again in 2023. In 2024, she was in the miniseries A Man in Full.
