Early Career and Public Service
Jesús Posada started his career in public service in 1979. From 1979 to 1981, he served as the civil governor of the province of Huelva. This area is located in Andalusia, a region in southern Spain.
Serving Castile and León
Later, he became a representative for Soria in the regional parliament of Castile and Leon. He served in this role starting in 1983. From 1989 to 1991, he was the president of the regional government of Castile and León. This means he was the leader of that region's government.
