Jesse Giddings is a Canadian musician, designer, actor, artist, and photographer. He was born in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. Jesse went to high school at Langley Secondary School. He used to be a VJ for MuchMusic, a popular music television station in Canada, starting in 2009.

Jesse's Early Life and Journey

Jesse Giddings studied at Langley Secondary School. After graduating, he moved to San Clemente, California, and then to Sacramento, California for a while. Later, Jesse returned to Langley, British Columbia. There, he started "The Basement Venue," where he helped organize and host concerts for all ages.

Music and Touring

His work at The Basement Venue led Jesse to join a band called Swingset Champion. Through this, he met the band Sherwood. He later went on a North American tour with Sherwood and other bands like The Academy Is..., Armor For Sleep, Cobra Starship, and The Rocket Summer. After touring, Jesse briefly joined another band called We Shot The Moon.

From Roughneck to VJ

After his music tours, Jesse moved to Calgary. He worked there as a roughneck for a drilling company. But soon, he decided to move to Toronto to try for a job at MuchMusic. While waiting for the nine-month audition process, he got back into modeling. Jesse impressed the station's producers during an open audition. He was chosen from thousands of people for the exciting VJ position. He officially started his VJ job at MuchMusic on October 20, 2009.

Hosting TV Shows and Awards

Jesse regularly co-hosted MuchMusic's main show, New.Music.Live., which was also known as Much On Demand. He also co-hosted the MuchMusic Video Awards. ..... Jesse also co-hosted the Pepsi Pre-show for The X Factor USA (season 2) on The X Factor USA and Pepsi.com websites.

Music Projects

As a musician, Jesse has played with indie bands like Swingset Champion and We Shot the Moon. He also finished working on his own solo album. He worked with producer Gavin Brown, who has worked with famous bands like Metric and Billy Talent. Jesse has not released this album yet.

Helping Others: WeDay

Jesse is a big supporter of Free The Children, a charity that helps young people. He has hosted more than 15 WeDay events across Canada over three years. WeDay is the largest motivational event for young people in North America. At these events, Jesse has co-hosted with famous people like Joe Jonas and Nina Dobrev. Many important speakers have also been there, including Martin Sheen, Al Gore, and the Dalai Lama. Jesse's dedication led him to Kenya. There, he helped build a school for local children.

On August 7, 2013, Jesse Giddings was named a correspondent for E! News. This meant he would report on entertainment news.

Jesse's Family Life

Jesse Giddings married actress Hannah Simone in 2016. Hannah Simone was also a former VJ at MuchMusic. They announced they were expecting their first child together, who was born in August 2017.
