Jessica Kate Plummer (born 16 September 1992) is a talented English actress and singer. She was part of the British girl group Neon Jungle from 2013 to 2015. With the group, she released an album that reached number eight on the UK music charts.
Jessica is also well-known for her acting roles. She played Chantelle Atkins in the BBC soap opera EastEnders from 2019 to 2020. Later, she starred as Emma in the BBC drama series The Girl Before in 2021. For this role, she was nominated for a special award called the British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Besides her music and acting, Jessica has also appeared on reality television. In 2020, she was a contestant on the popular show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here.

Jessica Kate Plummer was born on 16 September 1992 in London, England. Her father is from Jamaica, and her mother is English.
She attended Burntwood School and Hayes School for her secondary education.
Career Highlights
Starting with Neon Jungle
In November 2012, a music manager named David Cooper started looking for members for a new girl group. Jessica Plummer was discovered while she was shopping in London. In February 2013, it was announced that Jessica, along with Shereen Cutkelvin, Amira McCarthy, and Asami Zdrenka, would form the new British girl group Neon Jungle.
They chose the name Neon Jungle because it showed how unique and different each member was. Jessica explained that "neon" meant they were bold and strong, and "jungle" represented their wild and fun side.
Music Success
In July 2013, Neon Jungle released their first song, "Trouble". It quickly became popular, reaching number 12 on the UK Singles Chart. It also made it into the top 10 on a US music chart.
In October 2013, Jessica and Neon Jungle performed as a supporting act for singer Jessie J on some of her tour dates. The group also performed at the famous Victoria's Secret Fashion Show that same year.
In November 2013, their second single, "Braveheart", was released in the UK. This song was even more successful, peaking at number four on the UK Singles Chart.
On 28 July 2014, Neon Jungle released their first album, Welcome to the Jungle. The album was a hit, reaching number eight on the UK Albums Chart. However, on 6 July 2015, the group announced that they were splitting up.
Acting Roles
In October 2013, Jessica made her first TV appearance in the British science fantasy series Wizards vs Aliens. She played the character Chloe Martin in two episodes.
In November 2015, it was announced that Jessica would be in the romantic-comedy film How to Talk to Girls at Parties. She acted alongside famous stars like Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning. The movie first showed at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival in May 2017.
In March 2019, Jessica joined the cast of the BBC soap opera EastEnders. She played the role of Chantelle Atkins. Her character was involved in a very important storyline about domestic abuse. As part of this storyline, her character left the show in September 2020.
Reality TV and Recent Work
In November 2020, Jessica took part in the twentieth series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here. She was the sixth celebrity to leave the show on 1 December 2020.
In 2021, Jessica starred as Emma Matthews in the miniseries The Girl Before. Her performance earned her nominations for prestigious awards, including the British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actress.
