Wizards vs Aliens is a British science fantasy TV show. It was made by BBC Cymru Wales and FremantleMedia Enterprises for CBBC. The show was created by Russell T Davies and Phil Ford. It follows the adventures of Tom Clarke (Scott Haran), a 16-year-old wizard. His best friend is Benny Sherwood (Percelle Ascott), who is very good at science. Together, they fight against the Nekross, an alien race that loves to eat magic. The Nekross came to Earth to find wizards and feast on their magical energy.

The show was created after The Sarah Jane Adventures ended. That show was a spin-off from Doctor Who. Even though Wizards vs Aliens was made by some of the same people, it is not connected to Doctor Who.

The BBC ordered two series of the show in late 2011. The first series started on 29 October 2012. It had 12 episodes, which were shown as 6 two-part stories. Series 2 had 14 episodes and aired from 28 October to 10 December 2013. The third and final series had 10 episodes. It was broadcast from 27 October to 25 November 2014. The show went on a break in January 2015 due to money reasons.

What the Show is About

Wizards vs Aliens is an action-packed adventure series. It brings together two very different worlds: magic and science.

Series 1: The Nekross Arrive

The first series introduces Tom Clarke, a 16-year-old wizard. His best friend, Benny Sherwood, is not a wizard but is very smart. They discover the Nekross, an alien race that has invaded Earth. The Nekross want to consume anything or anyone connected to magic. Tom and Benny must work together to stop them.

Series 2: New Challenges

The second series continues the battle between the wizards and the Nekross. It explores more magical creatures and places. It also shows a secret plan by Jathro and Kooth to take over the Nekross royal family.

Series 3: A New Threat

In the third series, Tom and Benny go their separate ways for a bit. Benny gets a chance to work with MIT in America. The Nekross return to Earth's galaxy. Varg, who is now the King Regent, wants revenge on Tom. Tom had turned Varg's sister, Lexi, into a human to save her life. Varg is helped by his wife, Lady Lyzera. She is secretly a sorceress who wants to steal Earth's magic. She plans to use it to take over the universe.
