Jessie Algie started her art journey at the Glasgow School of Art. This was a very important place for artists in Scotland. After her studies, she moved to a town called Stirling. Here, she joined groups of other artists. These groups helped her connect with creative people.

Jessie Algie's paintings were shown in big art exhibitions. In 1899, two of her paintings were displayed at the Royal Scottish Academy. This is a famous art institution in Scotland. Later, her work was also shown at the Royal Academy in London. This is one of the most important art galleries in the United Kingdom.

In 1908, Jessie had a special art show in London. It was at the Baille Gallery. She shared this exhibition with other artists like Anne Muir and Jessie M. King. Throughout her career, Jessie also showed her art at other places. These included the Aberdeen Artists Society and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. She also exhibited at the Glasgow Institute of Fine Art.
