Jessie Loftin Britt Jr. is a former American football player. He was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He played one season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Before joining the NFL, he played college football at North Carolina A&T State University.

College Football Career
Jessie Britt was a strong player for the North Carolina A&T Aggies. He played college football from 1982 to 1985. He was a "letterman" for all four of those years. Being a letterman means he earned a special award for playing well in a sport.
Playing in the NFL
After college, Jessie Britt was not chosen in the 1986 NFL draft. However, he still got a chance to play professionally. He signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers on May 1, 1986.
He played in eight games for the Steelers during the 1986 season. Later that year, on November 7, 1986, he was placed on injured reserve. This means he was unable to play due to an injury. The Steelers released him from the team in 1987.
Life After Football
After his football career, Jessie Britt became a police officer. He worked in Greensboro, North Carolina, for several years. Later, he moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. There, he became a youth sports coach for five years. He helped young athletes learn and grow. In 2000, Britt moved back to Greensboro. He then started a church in the city.
