Where is Jewett Located?
Jewett is found in the southern part of Cumberland County, Illinois. It sits along the path of what used to be the historic National Road. Today, U.S. Route 40 runs through the northern part of the village. This road can take you about 5 miles (8 km) northeast to Greenup or 8 miles (13 km) southwest to Montrose.
Interstate 70 also passes just north of Jewett, with easy ways to get on it from Greenup and Montrose. The village covers a total area of about 1 square mile (2.6 square kilometers), and all of it is land.

In 2020, there were 196 people living in Jewett. The village has seen its population change over the years. For example, in 1880, there were 138 residents, and it grew to 366 by 1910 before slowly decreasing.
