Jewett City is a small area called a borough in New London County, Connecticut. It is part of the larger town of Griswold. In 2020, about 3,328 people lived there. The borough got its name from Eliezer Jewett. He started a settlement in this area way back in 1771.

Jewett City was once talked about on the TV show The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. This happened because of a funny argument about the church bells in the town.
