James Hubert Farmer (born September 23, 1964) is an American former professional basketball player. He was chosen by the Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the 1987 NBA draft. Jim Farmer played as a point guard or shooting guard. He was known for his strong defense and good jumping ability.
Farmer played for several NBA teams during his career. These included the Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz, Seattle SuperSonics, Philadelphia 76ers, and Denver Nuggets. He played in the NBA for five seasons.
