Jim Lyngvild (born 27 December 1978) is a Danish designer, writer, photographer, and television personality. He is known for his creative work in fashion, books, and television shows.

Jim Lyngvild's Career

Jim Lyngvild grew up in Albertslund, Denmark. He studied at the Fashion Design Akademiet in Copenhagen from 2000 to 2002. This education helped him start his career in design.

Writing and TV Shows

Lyngvild writes about fashion for the newspaper Ekstra Bladet. He has also written several books. He has appeared on many reality television shows. These include Robinson Ekspeditionen 2005, Til middag hos.., and Britain's Got Talent.

Designing Exhibitions

In 2018, Jim Lyngvild designed an exhibition about the Viking Age. This display was for the National Museum of Denmark. Some people criticized the museum for hiring him. They noted that he was not a history expert. This happened after the museum had let go of some of its own experts.

In 2021, he created a series of photographs for an exhibition. This show was at the Køge Museum. For this project, ten famous Danish women posed as völvas. A völva was a type of seeress from old Norse religion. One of the models was Ane Halsboe-Jørgensen. She was Denmark's Minister for Culture at the time. This caused some public discussion. Lyngvild explained that she took part as the Minister for Culture.

Personal Life

Jim Lyngvild married Morten in 2007. They live in a large home in southwestern Funen. They call their home "Ravnsborg," which looks like a "viking castle."

Lyngvild follows Scandinavian polytheism, also known as asatro. He says this faith is a very important part of his life. In 2016, he designed and built a religious building called Manheim. It is located close to his home.
