What Jochberg is Known For
Jochberg has a history of copper mining. People used to mine copper here a long time ago. However, the mining stopped in 1625 because it was no longer making enough money.
Today, Jochberg is a popular place for winter sports. It is part of the famous Kitzbühel ski resort. The ski area connects the slopes around Kitzbühel to the ski slopes west of the Pass Thurn. This makes Jochberg a great spot for skiing and snowboarding.
