Jocie Guo (born Jocie Kok on 21 March 1982) is a talented singer and songwriter from Singapore. She started her music journey in mid-2005. Jocie quickly became well-known for her sweet, cartoon-like image in her early music videos and album covers.

Jocie's Music Career
Early Success and Hit Songs
Jocie Guo became famous very quickly. Her first two songs sold a combined 55,000 copies! She was seen as a top new artist for Warner Music Taiwan. They planned a huge marketing campaign for her across Asia.
Jocie was the first artist allowed to legally sing "Mice Love Rice" outside of China. This song became a big hit. It was the first song to reach the top of Singapore's sales chart in 2005.
Her first album in 2006 was called "不怕不怕" (which means "No More Panic"). It quickly became number one on the sales chart just 10 days after it was released. In Taiwan, this album sold over 60,000 copies. This earned it a "Platinum" status, showing how popular it was.
Awards and Performances
In 2006, Jocie was invited to perform at Singapore's May-Day concert. She sang alongside other big stars like Stefanie Sun in front of 20,000 people. She won many "Best Newcomer" awards that year. These included awards from the 3rd Annual Hit King Awards in Guangzhou, China, and the 6th Annual Global Chinese Music Award Ceremony. She also won "2006's Most Popular Song" for her "Bu Pa Bu Pa" single.
In 2007, Jocie performed at the 7th Annual Music Awards Ceremony. She also got a big deal to advertise for an ice-cream company in China. Before this, she had also promoted cosmetics and a Japanese restaurant. In 2008, her second album, My Darling, reached number 2 on Hong Kong's TVB8 Chart. It also won "Best Newcomer."
Changing Music Labels
In 2011, Jocie's contract with Warner Music ended. She then signed with a new company called IME Productions. Later, in 2016, she signed with a Chinese music label, Taihe Music. In 2017, she released an album called Your Name (你的名字).
Recent Activities
In 2022, Jocie had planned a concert called My Wonderland. It was first set for February 19. However, it had to be moved to April 23 because Jocie got COVID-19.
Personal Life
Mistaken Identity
In 2011, Jocie was sometimes confused with another person who had a similar Chinese name, Guo Meimei. This other person was a Chinese internet celebrity involved in some public issues. Because of this mix-up, Jocie received angry messages online. She even had to cancel some of her performances.
Health Condition
In the same year, Jocie was diagnosed with a health condition called endometriosis.

Jocie Guo has released several albums and popular songs. Her debut single was a cover of "Mice Love Rice." Her second single, "No More Panic", was a Chinese version of a popular European song.
Her first album, also called "No More Panic", came out in January 2006. It included new songs and covers. One song, "勾勾手", was used as the ending theme for a Singaporean TV show called Love Concierge.
Jocie also released special albums for Christmas (2006) and Chinese New Year (2007). Her album My Darling was released in October 2007. It included a cover of "La La Love on My Mind." A year later, a special CD+DVD version of My Darling was released. It had extra songs and music videos.
