Joseph "Joe" William Burton (born November 2, 1990) is an American professional basketball player. He usually plays as a center or a power forward. Joe last played for BC Orchies in France. Before becoming a pro, he played four seasons of college basketball. He was part of the Oregon State Beavers men's basketball team.

College Basketball Journey
Joe Burton played college basketball for the Oregon State Beavers. He is a member of the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians. This is one of the Luiseño Native American tribes. They live in southern California.
Joe made history by becoming the first Native American man. He earned a basketball scholarship at a Pac-10 Conference school. This conference is now known as the Pac-12.
In his final year of college, Joe played 32 games. He scored about 11 points per game. He also grabbed about 6.4 rebounds per game. Joe is the only Oregon State player ever to achieve a special record. He recorded over 1,000 points, 700 rebounds, and 300 assists.
Professional Basketball Career
Joe Burton started his professional basketball career in 2013. He first played for the Aalborg Vikings in Denmark.
Playing in Denmark
In the Danish Basketligaen, Joe was a strong player. He averaged 22 points per game. He also got 12.5 rebounds and 4 assists per game.
Success in the Netherlands
For the 2014–15 season, Joe signed with Landstede Basketbal in the Netherlands. He had a fantastic year there. At the end of the season, he won the DBL Statistical Player of the Year Award. He was also named to the All-DBL Team. This team includes the best players in the league. Joe also made the DBL All-Defense Team for his great defense.
Playing in France
In the 2015–16 season, Joe moved to France. He signed with ALM Évreux Basket. Here, he was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the LNB Pro B. This is the second-highest basketball league in France.
On August 4, 2016, Joe signed with another French team. He joined Chorale Roanne Basket, also in the LNB Pro B. Later, on July 10, 2018, he moved up to the top French league. He signed with ADA Blois of the Pro A.
Joe returned to his old team, Chorale Roanne Basket, on August 13, 2019.
Time in Finland
On August 17, 2020, Joe signed with KTP Basket. This team plays in the Korisliiga, which is the top basketball league in Finland.
