Joseph Pierre Courtney (born October 17, 1969) is an American former professional basketball player. He was born in Jackson, Mississippi. Joe Courtney played for many teams during his career. This included seven different teams in the NBA. He even played a few games with the Chicago Bulls when they won the NBA championship in the 1992–93 season.

Courtney also played basketball in other countries. He played professionally in France, Spain, Venezuela, and Slovenia. He also played in the CBA in the United States.

Early Life and College Years

Joe Courtney grew up in Jackson, Mississippi. He went to Callaway High School. After high school, he continued his basketball journey in college. He played for two different universities. First, he played for Mississippi State from 1987 to 1989. Later, he played for the Southern Miss from 1990 to 1992.

Playing in the NBA

After college, Joe Courtney became a professional basketball player. He joined the NBA in 1992. Over his career, he played for several NBA teams. These teams included the Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers, and San Antonio Spurs.

One of his most notable times was with the Chicago Bulls. He played five games with them during their championship season in 1992–93. Even though he played a short time, he was part of a winning team.
