Joseph Pierre Courtney (born October 17, 1969) is an American former professional basketball player. He was born in Jackson, Mississippi. Joe Courtney played for many teams during his career. This included seven different teams in the NBA. He even played a few games with the Chicago Bulls when they won the NBA championship in the 1992–93 season.
Courtney also played basketball in other countries. He played professionally in France, Spain, Venezuela, and Slovenia. He also played in the CBA in the United States.

Joe Courtney grew up in Jackson, Mississippi. He went to Callaway High School. After high school, he continued his basketball journey in college. He played for two different universities. First, he played for Mississippi State from 1987 to 1989. Later, he played for the Southern Miss from 1990 to 1992.
Playing in the NBA
After college, Joe Courtney became a professional basketball player. He joined the NBA in 1992. Over his career, he played for several NBA teams.
