Joe Fletcher (born September 10, 1976) is a Canadian former soccer referee. He is from Niagara Falls, Ontario. Joe Fletcher now works as the manager of senior assistant referees for the Professional Referee Organization.

Joe Fletcher's Soccer Career
Joe Fletcher started his referee career in 1999. He began officiating in the Canadian Professional Soccer League. He got this chance from Tony Camacho, who was the Director of Officials at the time.
Major Tournaments and Awards
In 2007, Joe Fletcher was chosen for the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. This big tournament was held in Canada that summer. He worked as an assistant referee. That same year, he was also the referee for the 2007 Open Canada Cup finals match.
He was recognized as the CSL Referee of the Year in 2007. The Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) honored him with the Ray Morgan Memorial Award in 2012. He also received the Canada Soccer International Achievement Award in 2015.
In 2018, Joe Fletcher was named the MLS assistant referee of the year. He stopped officiating games on January 18, 2019. After that, he became a referee instructor for the CSA. In January 2020, he took on his current role. He became the manager of senior assistant referees for the Professional Referee Organization (PRO).
World Cup Appearances
Joe Fletcher was selected as an assistant referee for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. This was a huge honor for him.
He was chosen again for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. This was his second time at a World Cup. During the 2018 World Cup, he served as an assistant video assistant referee for two games: Argentina vs Iceland and Uruguay vs Portugal. He also worked as an assistant referee for other matches. These included Portugal vs Morocco, South Korea vs Germany, and the knockout stage game Colombia vs England.
