  • On April 21, 1648, he became a militia commissioner. This role involved organizing local defense forces in Glamorgan, Monmouthshire, Breconshire, and Gloucestershire.

John Price married Cecilia Arney, who was the daughter of Rice Arney from Monmouthshire. He was also the brother-in-law of Philip Jones of Fonmon, another notable person of his time.
