John Salusbury (born around 1520, died 1578) was an important Welsh landowner and public servant. He lived at Lleweni Hall in Denbighshire, Wales. He also served as a member of the English Parliament.

John Salusbury was the oldest son of Sir Roger Salusbury. He took over his father's estate in 1530. In 1547, King Henry VIII made him a knight, giving him the title "Sir."

John Salusbury held several important jobs for the King. These roles helped manage the local areas.

Serving as Sheriff

King Henry VIII chose John Salusbury to be the High Sheriff of Denbighshire from 1541 to 1542. He was like the chief law enforcement officer for the county. Later, he was also Sheriff of Flintshire from 1548 to 1549. He served as Sheriff of Denbighshire again from 1574 to 1575.

Working as a Justice

From 1543 until his death, John Salusbury was a Justice of the Peace for Denbighshire. This meant he helped keep law and order. He also served as the Custos Rotulorum of Denbighshire from about 1558 to 1564. This role involved keeping important county records.

Representing Denbighshire in Parliament
