Johnny Rogers (born December 30, 1963) is a Spanish-American former professional basketball player. He was known for playing the power forward position. Johnny Rogers played college basketball before becoming a professional.
During his professional career, Rogers won the EuroLeague championship twice. This is one of the biggest basketball competitions in Europe. In 2018, he was honored as one of the "101 Greats of European Basketball."

College Basketball Journey
Johnny Rogers started his college basketball career at Stanford University. He played for the Stanford Cardinal team from 1981 to 1983. After his time at Stanford, he moved to UC Irvine. He played for the UC Irvine Anteaters from 1984 to 1986.

Johnny Rogers had a long and successful career playing professional basketball. He played in both the NBA and in Europe.
Playing in the NBA
In 1986, Johnny Rogers was chosen in the 1986 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings. He was the 34th player picked overall. He played in the NBA for the Kings during the 1986–87 season. He also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 1987–88 season. In total, he played 69 NBA games.
Playing in Europe
After his time in the NBA, Johnny Rogers moved to Europe. He played for many different teams there. He played in Italy for teams like Philips Milano, Cagiva Varese, and Telemarket Forlì.
He also played for two very famous Greek teams: Olympiacos and Panathinaikos. With Panathinaikos, he achieved great success. He won two EuroLeague championships in 2000 and 2002. He also helped them win two Greek League championships in 2000 and 2001.
Playing for Spain
While playing in Spain, Johnny Rogers became a Spanish citizen. This allowed him to play for the Spanish national team. He represented Spain at the 2000 Summer Olympics.
