John D. Thomas was born on October 19, 1956. He is a former American football player and coach. He is well-known for being the head football coach at Alcorn State University. He coached the Alcorn State Braves from 1998 to 2007. During his time there, his team won 48 games and lost 61. John is also the brother of College Football Hall of Fame inductee Dennis Thomas.
