Joice is a small city located in Worth County, Iowa, in the United States. In 2020, about 208 people lived there. It is part of the larger Mason City area.

A Look Back: History of Joice

Joice began when the Chicago and North Western Railway built its tracks through the area. A post office opened in Joice in the year 1900. Joice officially became a city in 1913. The city was named after R. M. Joice, who was a local banker at the time.

In September 2018, the Joice Public Library was damaged by a fire. This fire was caused by faulty wiring. Because of the damage, a new public library had to be built for the community.
