Jonathan Rayshad Davis (born May 12, 1992) is an American former professional baseball player. He was an outfielder in Major League Baseball (MLB). Jonathan played for teams like the Toronto Blue Jays, New York Yankees, Milwaukee Brewers, and Miami Marlins.

Early Life and College Baseball

Jonathan Davis grew up in Camden, Arkansas. He went to Camden Fairview High School. In his last year of high school, he was a great hitter. He had a .419 batting average and stole 19 bases.

After high school, Jonathan played college baseball. He went to the University of Central Arkansas. He played for the Central Arkansas Bears for three seasons.

  • As a freshman, he hit .350 with 5 home runs. He also had 30 runs batted in (RBI) and 21 stolen bases.
  • In his second year, he hit .333 with 29 RBI and 17 stolen bases.
  • In his final year, he hit .268 with 3 home runs, 49 RBI, and 25 stolen bases.

Professional Baseball Career

Playing for the Toronto Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays picked Jonathan Davis in the 15th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft. He started playing for their minor league teams.
