Jonathan Stark (born May 23, 1995) is an American professional basketball player. He plays as a Point guard for the Ehime Orange Vikings team in Japan's B.League. Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball for the Murray State Racers. Jonathan went to Munford High School in Munford, Tennessee, and finished there in 2013.

College Basketball Journey
Jonathan Stark started his college basketball career playing for Tulane. He played there for two seasons. After his second year, in 2015, he decided to transfer to another school.
Joining Murray State
Jonathan then joined Murray State. In his junior year, he was named to the First Team All-Ohio Valley Conference (OVC). The OVC is a sports league for colleges in the Ohio Valley region. He helped his team reach the OVC Tournament semi-finals that year. He scored an amazing 78 points over two games in the tournament!
Senior Year Success
In his senior year, Jonathan and his teammate Terrell Miller had a fantastic season. Jonathan scored 36 points in one game against Southeast Missouri in January 2018. Later that month, he reached a big milestone: he scored his 2000th point in a college game.
He scored over 30 points in three of the last four games of the season. This helped the Racers win the OVC regular season championship with a great record of 16 wins and only 2 losses. Jonathan led the entire conference in scoring, averaging 21.7 points per game. He also had 4.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
OVC Player of the Year
At the end of the regular season, Jonathan Stark was named the Ohio Valley Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year. This is a huge honor! He was the first Murray State player to win this award since 2015. He then led Murray State to win their 16th OVC Championship in 2018. He scored 24 points in the championship game against Belmont.
NCAA Tournament Appearance
After winning the OVC Championship, Murray State played in the 2018 NCAA Tournament. They faced West Virginia. Jonathan scored 9 points in that game, and the Racers lost 85–68. This was Jonathan's final game playing for the Racers.
Professional Basketball Career
After college, Jonathan Stark was not chosen in the 2018 NBA draft. However, he still got a chance to play professionally.
Starting in the G League
He joined the Minnesota Timberwolves for the NBA Summer League. He also went to their training camp. In October 2018, he joined the Iowa Wolves, a team in the NBA G League. The G League is like a development league for the NBA.
Jonathan played 39 games for the Iowa Wolves and started 28 of them. He averaged 12.6 points, 5.8 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game. Unfortunately, in February 2019, he had a knee injury (tore his ACL), which meant he couldn't play during the 2019–20 season.
Playing Overseas
After recovering, Jonathan started playing basketball in other countries.
- In August 2020, he signed with the Gießen 46ers in Germany. He averaged 11.7 points and 4.1 assists per game there.
- In July 2021, he joined Alba Fehérvár in Hungary.
- In July 2022, he signed with Legia Warszawa in Poland.
- Later in 2022, he played for Orléans Loiret in France.
- In 2023, he played for Hapoel Haifa in Israel.
- From 2023 to 2024, he played for Aris Thessaloniki in Greece.
- Since 2024, he has been playing for the Ehime Orange Vikings in Japan.
