Jonté Buhl (born April 4, 1982) is a former professional Canadian football player. He was a cornerback, which is a defensive position in football. Jonté played for four seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Before turning pro, he played college football at Texas A&M University. He also briefly signed with the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League (NFL).

Jonté Buhl grew up in Pflugerville, Texas. He went to John B. Connally High School. There, he was an amazing athlete. He played both offense and defense in football. As a senior, he was named a high school All-American.

During his senior year, Jonté made 60 tackles. He also caught 5 interceptions. On offense, he ran for 682 yards. He scored 10 touchdowns.

Jonté was also great at other sports. He played on the basketball team. He was also a star on the track team. In 2000, he ran the nation's fastest indoor 400-meter race.
College Football Career

Atlanta Falcons and Edmonton Eskimos
In 2005, the Atlanta Falcons signed Jonté. He then joined the Edmonton Eskimos in 2006. He played in 15 games that year. He made 35 defensive tackles. He also had one interception.
Injury and Return
In 2007, Jonté started the season strong. But he broke his wrist in July. This injury ended his season early. He still made nine tackles and one interception.
Strong 2008 Season
