Jordan Isaac Aldon Dangerfield, born on December 25, 1990, is a former American football player. He played as a safety, which is a defensive position. He played college football at Towson. After college, he joined the Buffalo Bills in 2013 as an undrafted free agent. Dangerfield also played for the Brooklyn Bolts in a league called the FXFL. He spent most of his professional career with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Early Life and High School Football
Jordan Dangerfield was born in Elmont, New York. He is part of the Ethiopian Jewish community.
He went to Royal Palm Beach High School in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. There, he was a talented football player. He played both as a receiver and a defensive back. During his junior and senior years, he was named to the first-team lists by the Palm Beach Post and Sun-Sentinel newspapers. In 2008, as a senior, he also earned second-team All-Florida honors.
College Football Journey
After high school, Jordan first attended Hofstra University. He played in eight games for their football team. When Hofstra closed its football program, he moved to Towson University.
At Towson, he continued to shine:
- In 2010, he was named first-team All-CAA.
- He also earned first-team All-ECAC honors.
- College Sports Journal named him a first-team All-American.
- Towson University also recognized him as their Male Athlete of the Year.
- In 2011, he was again named first-team All-Colonial Athletic Association.
- Before the 2012 season, he was named pre-season All-CAA.
- He also received third-team pre-season All-America honors from The Sports Network.
Even after starting his professional football career, Jordan kept working on his college degree. He finished his remaining classes at Towson and earned his degree in 2019.
Professional Football Career
Jordan Dangerfield began his professional journey in 2013.
Buffalo Bills Experience
After the 2013 NFL draft, the Buffalo Bills signed Dangerfield. He joined them as an undrafted rookie free agent. However, he was released by the team on August 30, 2013.
First Time with the Pittsburgh Steelers
On January 10, 2014, Dangerfield signed a contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. This was a "reserve/future" contract, which means he would join the team later. He was released by the Steelers on August 26, 2014.
Playing for the Brooklyn Bolts
In 2014, Jordan played for the Brooklyn Bolts. This team was part of the Fall Experimental Football League, often called the FXFL.
Second Time with the Pittsburgh Steelers
Dangerfield returned to the Pittsburgh Steelers on November 5, 2014. He was signed to their practice squad. He was released and re-signed to the practice squad several times during the 2014 NFL season and 2015 NFL season. Finally, he made it onto the main team roster for the 2016 NFL season.
On January 27, 2017, Dangerfield signed another one-year deal with the Steelers. Later that year, on September 4, he was waived (released) due to an injury and placed on injured reserve. He was released from injured reserve on September 8. He then re-signed with the practice squad on October 16. On January 15, 2018, he signed another reserve/future contract with the Steelers.
His time with the Steelers continued, and on March 20, 2020, Dangerfield re-signed with the team again.
