Jorge Otero Bouzas, born on January 28, 1969, is a Spanish former professional football player. He used to play as a defender, either on the right or left side of the field. Today, he is a football manager.
Jorge played in 317 games in La Liga, Spain's top football league, over 12 seasons. He played for four different teams, but he is best known for his time with Celta. He also proudly represented Spain in major international tournaments, like the 1994 World Cup and Euro 1996.

Playing Career: Club Highlights
Jorge Otero was born in Nigrán, a town in Galicia, Spain. He began his football journey with the local team, RC Celta de Vigo. He quickly became a key player for Celta, even at a young age.
Early Years at Celta
Otero joined Celta's main team when he was 18 years old. He spent seven years with the club, with five of those years playing in La Liga. His first game in Spain's top division was on August 29, 1987. He played the entire game, helping Celta win 1–0 against RCD Español.
Moving to Other Teams
In 1994, Otero moved to Valencia CF. With Valencia, he achieved his best league finish, coming in second place in the 1995–96 season. He played 37 games that season, showing his importance to the team.
After Valencia, Jorge played for several other clubs. He joined Real Betis, where he experienced both promotion to a higher league and relegation to a lower one.
