Jorge Pereira da Silva (born December 4, 1985), known to many as Jorginho, is a former professional football player from Brazil. He was a talented striker, which means he played at the front of the team to score goals. Jorginho is also the brother of another famous Brazilian striker, Ueslei.

Jorginho's Football Journey
Jorginho started his football journey in Bahia, Brazil, when he was just 13 years old. From 1998 to 2003, he played at the youth level for Bahia, a top Brazilian team.
Playing in Japan
In 2004, Jorginho moved to Japan to play in the country's biggest league, the J1 League. He had a great career there, joining well-known teams like Nagoya Grampus Eight and Sanfrecce Hiroshima. Both of these were top-tier teams in Japan. Jorginho also played for Tokushima Vortis and FC Gifu during his time in Japan.
Return to Brazil and Beyond
In 2008, Jorginho returned to Brazil. He played in the Brazilian state championships for teams such as Mixto Esporte Clube, EC Bahia, and EC Águia Negra. He continued to score many goals, averaging about one goal every two games.
In 2009, Jorginho traveled abroad again to continue his football career. He joined Al-Mabarrah, a team in the Lebanese Premier League. This team competed in important tournaments like the FA Cup and the Arab Champions League.
Jorginho also played for Qormi FC, a Premier League team in Malta.
Time in Hungary and Malta
In 2012, Jorginho signed with Kecskeméti TE in Hungary.
For the 2014–15 season, he joined Hibernians in Malta. He quickly became known as one of the best strikers in the Maltese Premier League. He helped Hibernians win the league title that season. He also shared the top scorer award with his teammate, Edison Luiz dos Santos. This success helped Hibernians qualify for the second qualifying round of the 2015–16 UEFA Champions League.
Later Career Teams
Jorginho joined Gżira United in 2018. He scored a goal in his very first game for the team against UE Sant Julià in the UEFA Europa League. On January 8, 2019, he signed with Birkirkara FC. He played for Birkirkara until 2020.
