The 2015-16 UEFA Champions League was a super exciting football tournament! It was the 61st time this big European club competition was held by UEFA. This season was also the 24th time it was called the UEFA Champions League, after changing its name from the European Champion Clubs' Cup.

The final match was played at the famous San Siro stadium in Milan, Italy. Barcelona were the champions from the year before. But this time, Real Madrid won the tournament! They beat Atlético Madrid in a thrilling penalty shootout.

The Champions League starts with a "group stage." Teams are put into groups, and they play against each other. The best teams from each group move on to the next part of the tournament, called the "knockout stage."
