Robert Lewandowski (born 21 August 1988) is a Polish professional footballer. He plays as a striker for Barcelona and is the captain of the Poland national team. Many people think he is one of the best strikers ever. He has scored over 600 goals in his career for his clubs and country.
Lewandowski started his career in Poland. He was the top scorer in the lower leagues with Znicz Pruszków. Then he moved to Lech Poznań and helped them win the Polish league. In 2010, he joined Borussia Dortmund in Germany. There, he won two Bundesliga titles and was the league's top scorer. He also played in the 2013 UEFA Champions League final.
In 2014, Lewandowski moved to Bayern Munich. He won the Bundesliga title every year for eight seasons. He was a key player when Bayern won the UEFA Champions League in 2019–20. Starting His Football Journey
Lewandowski was born in Warsaw, Poland. He grew up in a town called Leszno. He started playing football at a local club called Partyzant Leszno. In 1997, he joined MKS Varsovia Warsaw and played there for seven years. After that, he moved to Delta Warsaw and scored four goals.
In the 2006–07 season, Lewandowski was the top scorer in the Polish third division. He scored 15 goals for Znicz Pruszków. This helped his team get promoted. The next season, he was the top scorer in the Polish second division with 21 goals.
Joining Lech Poznań

Youth and Early Senior Career

Lewandowski started playing for Poland's under-19 team in 2007. He also played three games for the U21 team.
He made his debut for the senior national team on 10 September 2008. He was 20 years old. He came on as a substitute and scored a goal against San Marino. Only Włodzimierz Lubański scored a goal at a younger age on his debut. Lewandowski scored another goal against San Marino in 2009.
