José María Coronado García, born on August 14, 1957, is a famous Spanish actor. He has starred in many movies and TV shows. Before becoming an actor, he also worked as a model. He is well-known for playing characters who are often police officers or in law enforcement. These roles have helped him become very successful in his acting career.
José Coronado has won many important awards for his acting. These include two Goya Awards, which are like the Oscars in Spain. He also received an Actors and Actresses Union Award and a Platino Award.

Early Life and Education
José María Coronado García was born in Madrid, the capital city of Spain. His family was from a nice area called Chamberí.
He started studying medicine and law at university. However, he later decided to stop these studies. He got an offer to be in a commercial, which is like a TV advertisement, filmed in Menorca.
Before becoming a full-time actor, Coronado had different jobs. He worked as a model and even as a choreographer, which means he created dance routines. He also owned a restaurant. Later, he decided to study acting at the school of Cristina Rota.
Acting Career
José Coronado began his acting journey on stage. He had a small part in a play called El público in 1987. This play was performed in Madrid. Soon after, he made his first appearance in a movie called Waka Waka.
Throughout his career, José Coronado has often played characters who work in law enforcement. These roles, where he plays police officers or similar figures, have been very popular and have brought him a lot of success.
Awards and Recognition
José Coronado has received many awards for his amazing acting. One of his biggest wins was for his lead role in the 2011 movie No Rest for the Wicked. For this film, he won a Goya Award for Best Actor. He also received a Sant Jordi Award and a Fotogramas de Plata award for the same role.

In 2024, he won another Goya Award, this time for Best Supporting Actor, for his work in the movie Close Your Eyes. He also won a Platino Award for Best Supporting Actor for the same film.
