José María Coronado García (born August 14, 1957) is a famous Spanish actor and former model. He is well-known for playing roles as police officers or detectives, sometimes playing characters who weren't always good. These roles have brought him great success in his acting career.
He has won many awards, including two Goya Awards, an Actors and Actresses Union Awards, and a Platino Award.
About José Coronado
José María Coronado García was born in Madrid, Spain, on August 14, 1957. He came from a family in the Chamberí area of Madrid. He started studying medicine and law, but decided to try something different. He got a chance to be in a TV commercial, which led him into the entertainment world.
Before becoming an actor, Coronado worked as a model, helped create dance routines, and even opened a restaurant. He then joined the acting school of Cristina Rota. His first small role in a play was in El público in 1987. He made his first movie appearance in a film called Waka Waka.
José Coronado won several awards for his main role in the 2011 movie No Rest for the Wicked. These awards included a Goya, a Sant Jordi Award, and a Fotogramas de Plata award.
He has two children, a son named Nicolás with Paola Dominguín, and a daughter with Mónica Molina.
