José Miguel "Josemi" Castañeda Macho (born on February 26, 1998) is a Spanish professional football player. He plays as a central midfielder for the team SD Logroñés.

Josemi Castañeda's Football Journey
Josemi Castañeda was born in Suances, Cantabria, Spain. He started his football journey at a young age. In 2008, he joined the youth academy of Racing de Santander. Before that, he played for a team called SD Amistad.
Starting His Senior Career
Josemi made his first appearance as a senior player on August 21, 2016. He played for Racing's reserve team. This was in a game against Selaya FC in the Tercera División, which is a lower football league in Spain. His team won that game 5–1.
He scored his first goal as a senior player on October 12, 2016. This happened in an away game against CF Vimenor, which his team lost 3–4. Later that year, on November 20, he played his first match for the main Racing Santander team. He came into the game as a substitute in a 0–0 draw against Arandina CF in the Segunda División B.
Moving to Las Palmas
On July 10, 2017, Josemi signed a contract with UD Las Palmas. He was assigned to their B team, Las Palmas B, which also played in the third division.
He made his professional debut on June 17, 2020. This was for the main Las Palmas team in a Segunda División match. The team won 1–0 against UD Almería.
Playing in Romania
On September 1, 2020, Josemi Castañeda agreed to a three-year contract. He moved to Romania to play for FC Viitorul Constanța, a club in the Liga I, which is Romania's top football league.
Recent Career
After his time in Romania, Josemi returned to Spain. He played for Gimnástica Torrelavega from 2022 to 2024. Since 2024, he has been playing for SD Logroñés.
