Joseph Ashton (born November 18, 1986) is an American former child actor. He is most famous for being the voice of Oswald "Otto" Rocket in Nickelodeon's cartoon series Rocket Power.

Early Life and Family
Joseph Ashton was born on November 18, 1986, in Cherokee, California. His family has Cherokee descent. He is the younger brother of another actor, Mathew Valencia.
Joseph Ashton's Acting Career
Joseph Ashton started acting in 1994. His very first appearance was as a baby in a McDonald's TV commercial. He later had a regular part on the CBS show L.A. Doctors.
He also appeared as a guest star on many other TV shows. These include ER, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, Walker, Texas Ranger, Martial Law, Cracker, and Smart Guy. He was also in the HBO film Asylum and the NBC mini-series Blind Faith.
Film Roles
Joseph Ashton's first movie was the 1994 remake of The Little Rascals. He played the main character in the 1997 film, The Education of Little Tree. This movie was about a boy in the 1930s who learned about his Native American background. He won a Young Artist Award for his great acting in this film.
A famous movie critic, Roger Ebert, said that Joseph Ashton was "fresh and natural" in the movie. Another newspaper, The Boston Phoenix, called him "adorable and energetic."
Joseph Ashton also starred as 'Sonny' in Slappy and the Stinkers. For this movie, he won another Young Artist Award for being part of the best young acting group. In 2003, he played the main character, Billy Coleman, in the movie Where the Red Fern Grows.
Voice Acting Work
One of Joseph Ashton's most well-known roles was as the voice of Otto Rocket. He voiced this character in Nickelodeon's cartoon series Rocket Power from 1999 to 2004. He also voiced Otto in the TV movie Rocket Power: Race Across New Zealand and in video games.
He lent his voice to other cartoons too. These include Hey Arnold! and Whatever Happened to... Robot Jones?. He also voiced characters in the animated movies Babes in Toyland and Tarzan.
