Josephine, whose real name is Jessica Josephine Wendel, is a talented singer from Greece. She was born on August 22, 1990. Many people know her for her song "Dancing Night". She sang this song in the Greek competition for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. Josephine has also been on TV shows. She competed in the Greek version of Your Face Sounds Familiar. In 2020, she won the fourth season of Just the 2 of Us. She won it with actor Nasos Papargyropoulos.

Early Life
Josephine was born in Athens, Greece. Her birthday is August 22, 1990. Her mother, Margarita Venti, is Greek with roots from Lebanon. Her father, Alex Wendel, is from Germany. Josephine has two younger half-siblings. They are from her parents' later marriages. She went to the American Community Schools of Athens. When she was 18, she started studying Marketing–Management. She went to Deree College. At the same time, she loved to sing. She would upload cover songs on Facebook for fun.
Career
2013–2014: Starting Out and Eurovision
While she was still a student, Josephine met George Arsenakos. He is a manager at Panik Records. He had seen her cover songs on Facebook. He asked her to work with him. In March 2013, Josephine released her first song. It was called "Gia mia akoma fora" (For One More Time). She wrote the lyrics and music herself. The rapper OGE helped her. This song became very popular. It got over 8 million views on YouTube. In the same year, she released three more songs. These were "Piso an gyriza to chrono", "Radio", and "Ola allazoun".
In 2014, Josephine tried out for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. Her song was "Dancing Night". DJ Mark Angelo wrote the music and lyrics. She came in 4th place in the Greek national final. Later that year, she released "Dromos agapis" with Dj Kas and OGE. In November, she worked with DJ Pitsi on "Turn Off The Lights".
2015–Present: TV Shows and New Music
In 2015, Josephine started performing at the Apotheke nightclub. She sang with the famous Greek singer Katy Garbi. She also released two new songs. They were "Prosehos" (Coming soon) and "Esy ki ego" (You and I). Josephine also represented Greece in a music competition. She sang "Moonlight" at the New Wave Festival 2015 in Russia.
In 2016, she joined the TV show Your Face Sounds Familiar. She was a contestant in the third season. She also performed at the MadWalk – The Fashion Music Project. She sang "All About That Bass" with OtherView and Maria Korinthiou. She then released two more songs. These were "Kalokairines stigmes" with REC and "San paramythi" with The Gatsbies.
In 2017, Josephine started performing live at BOX Athens nightclub. She sang with OtherView and Melisses. In March, she released her song "Cocktail". She also performed at MadWalk again. This time she sang "Sha La La (Amaxi)" with Konnie Metaxa. In November, she released "Dyo stagones nero". She also performed at the Fantasia Live Nightclub.
In February 2018, Josephine launched her own sports leggings collection. She worked with the company Type Of Love. That summer, she released her new song "Magia" (Spells). It became very successful. She went on a live tour in Thessaloniki. She toured with Konnie Metaxa and Lefteris Pantazis. In October, she appeared on the Greek fashion show My Style Rocks. She also performed live at the Athinon Arenas nightclub. She sang with Nikos Oikonomopoulos and other artists.
On January 17, 2019, Josephine released "Pes mou pos" (Tell Me How). She sang this song with the rapper Bo. On March 9, she released "Ti" (What). On October 24, she released "Den Exo Sima". Leonidas Sozos wrote the lyrics and music. In September 2019, Josephine went on her first international tour. It was called "JSPN Tour". She performed in Miami, Florida, Philadelphia, and New York.
In 2020, Josephine released three new songs. They were "Fimi" with MadClip, "Ego", and "Portofoli". She won the fourth season of Just the 2 of Us. She won with actor Nasos Papargyropoulos. In 2021, she released "Paliopaido".
