Josephine, whose full name is Jessica Josephine Wendel, is a popular singer from Greece. She was born on August 22, 1990. Josephine is well-known for trying to represent Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with her song "Dancing Night". She has also appeared on the Greek TV show Your Face Sounds Familiar. In December 2020, she won the fourth season of Just the 2 of Us with Nasos Papargyropoulos.

Early Life
Jessica Josephine Wendel was born in Athens, Greece, on August 22, 1990. Her mother, Margarita Venti, is Greek and from Lebanon. Her father, Alex Wendel, is from Germany. Josephine has two younger half-siblings from her parents' later marriages.
She went to the American Community Schools of Athens. When she was 18, she started studying Marketing–Management at Deree College. At the same time, she began sharing cover songs on Facebook.
Music Career
Starting Out (2013–2014)
While still a student, Josephine met George Arsenakos, a manager from Panik Records. He had seen her cover songs on Facebook and asked her to work with him. In March 2013, Josephine released her first song, "Gia mia akoma fora" (For One More Time). She wrote the lyrics and music herself, with rapper OGE. The song became very popular on YouTube.
In the same year, she released three more songs. These included "Piso an gyriza to chrono" (If I turned back time) with Unique, "Radio" with Lunatic & RiskyKidd, and "Ola allazoun" (Everything changes) with Snik.
In 2014, Josephine was chosen to compete for the chance to represent Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. Her song was "Dancing Night," written by DJ Mark Angelo. She finished in 4th place in the Greek national final, called Eurosong 2014. Later that year, she released "Dromos agapis" (Love Road) with Dj Kas and OGE. She also worked with DJ Pitsi on "Turn Off The Lights."
TV Shows and New Music (2015–Present)
In 2015, Josephine started performing at the Apotheke nightclub with famous Greek singer Katy Garbi. She also released two new songs: "Prosehos" (Coming soon) and "Esy ki ego" (You and I). Josephine represented Greece at the New Wave Festival 2015 in Russia with her song "Moonlight."
In 2016, she joined the third season of Your Face Sounds Familiar as a contestant. She also performed at the MadWalk – The Fashion Music Project with OtherView and Maria Korinthiou. They sang "All About That Bass" by Meghan Trainor. She released two more songs: "Kalokairines stigmes" (Summer Moments) with REC, and "San paramythi" (Like a Fairytale) with The Gatsbies.
In 2017, Josephine began performing live at BOX Athens nightclub with OtherView and Melisses. In March, she released her song "Cocktail." She later performed at MadWalk with Konnie Metaxa, singing their new song "Sha La La (Amaxi)." In November, she released "Dyo stagones nero" (Two Drops of Water).
In February 2018, Josephine launched her own sports leggings collection. In the summer, she released her popular song "Magia" (Spells). She went on a live tour in Thessaloniki with Konnie Metaxa and Lefteris Pantazis. She also made guest appearances on the Greek fashion show My Style Rocks.
On January 17, 2019, Josephine released "Pes mou pos" (Tell Me How) with rapper Bo. On March 9, she released "Ti" (What), and on October 24, "Den Exo Sima." In September 2019, Josephine went on her first international tour, the "JSPN Tour," visiting cities like Miami, Florida and New York.
In 2020, Josephine released three new songs: "Fimi" (Fame) with MadClip, "Ego," and "Portofoli." She won the fourth season of Just the 2 of Us with actor Nasos Papargyropoulos. In 2021, she released "Paliopaido."
