Josh Olayinka Awotunde (born June 12, 1995) is an American athlete who is really good at the shot put. This is a sport where athletes throw a heavy ball as far as they can. Josh has thrown the shot put 22.29 m (73 ft 1.43405512 in) meters outdoors and 21.74 m (71 ft 3.78051181 in) meters indoors. He won a bronze medal at the World Championships in 2022, showing he is one of the best in the world!

About Josh Awotunde
Josh Awotunde was born in Lanham, Maryland, in 1995. He grew up in Franklinville, New Jersey. His parents are Adeola and Christina Awotunde. Josh went to Delsea Regional High School and finished in 2013. After high school, he studied at the University of South Carolina and graduated in 2017. Josh also has family roots from Nigeria.

World Championships Success
- In 2022, Josh won a bronze medal at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, USA. He threw the shot put 22.29 m (73 ft 1.43405512 in) meters, which was his best throw ever outdoors!
- He also placed 5th at the 2022 World Athletics Indoor Championships.
