San Francisco 49ers (2008–2011)
The San Francisco 49ers drafted Morgan in 2008. In his first year, he showed great potential. He scored his first NFL touchdown against the New York Giants. He finished his rookie season with 20 catches for 319 yards and three touchdowns.
By his second season in 2009, Morgan was a starting player. He played in all 16 games and caught 52 passes for 527 yards and three touchdowns. In 2010, he had his best season for receiving yards, gaining 698 yards with 44 catches.
His 2011 season was cut short by an injury. In October, he broke a bone in his leg and had to miss the rest of the season. He had 15 catches for 220 yards and one touchdown in just five games.
Washington Redskins (2012–2013)

In March 2012, Morgan signed a contract with the Washington Redskins. This was special for him because he grew up as a fan of the team. He was named a starting wide receiver for the 2012 season.
In a game against the St. Louis Rams, he was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct. After being tackled by Cortland Finnegan, Morgan threw the ball at him out of frustration. The 15-yard penalty made it harder for his team to try and win the game.
Later that season, he scored a unique touchdown. Quarterback Robert Griffin III ran with the ball, and when he was tackled, the ball popped into the air. Morgan caught it and ran 13 yards for a touchdown.
In 2013, he also returned kicks for the team. He started some games but was also benched for one game for the first time in his career.
Later Career
Morgan signed a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears for the 2014 season. The next year, in 2015, he signed with the New Orleans Saints but was released before the season began. This was his last team in the NFL.
