Early Days and Draft
Josh grew up in a small town called Yalgoo. This town is in the Murchison area of Western Australia.
He showed great talent in football from a young age. In 2012, he played for West Australia. This was at the 2012 AFL Under 18 Championships.
Later that year, Josh was chosen in the 2012 AFL draft. The Fremantle picked him as their first choice. He was the 17th player chosen overall.
Playing for Fremantle
In 2013, Josh spent most of the season playing for East Fremantle. This team is part of the West Australian Football League (WAFL).
Towards the end of the 2013 AFL season, he got a big chance. Many senior players from Fremantle were resting. They were getting ready for the important finals matches.
So, Josh was one of ten players who joined the Fremantle team. He played in the last game of the season. This game was against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium.
Josh played only one AFL game in 2014. After the 2014 AFL season, he left the Fremantle Football Club.
