Josh Thomas is an Australian blues guitarist and singer. He was born around 1970 in Adelaide, South Australia. His family comes from the Northern Territory's Barkly Tablelands. His parents were part of the Stolen Generations. This means they were Aboriginal children who were taken from their families by past Australian governments.

Josh Thomas's Musical Journey
In the 1990s, Josh was a member of a band called Thylacine. They released two albums with CAAMA Music. These albums were Thylacine Live in 1995 and Nightmare Dreaming in 1997.
In 1998, Josh won a music competition called Unearthed. This competition was run by the radio station Triple J. He also played guitar on a song called "Someone Special" in 2005. This song won an award from the Australian Songwriters Association. Josh Thomas works with two record labels: CAAMA Music and Festival Mushroom Records.
Live Performances and Collaborations
Josh Thomas has played with many famous musicians. In 2009, he opened for Eric Bibb at the Darwin Entertainment Centre. The next year, in 2010, he was the main act at the Darwin Blues Festival. He performed with his band, Purple Daze. This band played songs as a tribute to the famous guitarist Jimi Hendrix.
