Josta was a special kind of soft drink made by PepsiCo. It was the very first energy drink that a big American company ever sold. Josta was advertised as a "high-energy drink." It contained ingredients like guarana and caffeine to give people a boost.
Josta first came out in 1995. But PepsiCo stopped making the drink in 1999. This was because the company changed its plans. Before Josta was stopped, some fans started a group called the "Association for Josta Saving." They also launched a "Save Josta" campaign. Their website was offline for a while, but it came back online in 2011.
Josta's Advertising
Josta had a slogan that said, "better do the good stuff now." In one of its TV commercials, an older man talks to a younger man. The older man shares stories about his youth. He tells the younger man that he wished he had more fun back then.
Josta in Pop Culture
A Josta drink appeared in the 2021 Disney+ TV show called Loki.
