José-Miguel Ullán (born October 30, 1944 – died May 23, 2009) was a Spanish journalist, writer, and poet. He was known for his work in television and radio, as well as his poetry.

His Early Life
José-Miguel Ullán was born in a town called Villarino de los Aires in Salamanca, Spain. He studied literature in Madrid. During the final years of a time when Spain was ruled by a leader named Francisco Franco, Ullán moved to Paris, France. There, he started working as a writer and journalist for a French TV channel called ORTF. He worked with other famous writers and thinkers during this time.
His Career as a Journalist
After the leader Francisco Franco passed away in 1975, Ullán returned to Spain. He began working for the Spanish TV channel Televisión Española (TVE). He helped with many TV shows, including giving commentary for the Eurovision Song Contest in both 1983 and 1984.
From 1985, Ullán also became a regular host on Radio Nacional de España, which is a national radio station. He hosted popular shows like Otra canción and Acércate más. Besides his work on TV and radio, he was also a regular writer for well-known newspapers such as Diario 16 and El País.
His Work with Poetry and Art
José-Miguel Ullán was also a talented poet. He wrote poems about many different artists. His poems are so important that they are displayed in famous museums and libraries. You can find his work at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Spain, and the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris.
