Jovan Adepo (born in 1988) is an American actor. He first appeared in movies in the drama Fences (2016). After that, he acted in films like Mother! (2017) and Overlord (2018). He also appeared in the comedy-drama Babylon (2022) and the drama His Three Daughters (2023).
Jovan Adepo has also starred in many TV shows. These include the supernatural drama The Leftovers (2015–2017) on HBO. He was also in Sorry for Your Loss (2018–2019) and Jack Ryan (2019). In 2019, he appeared in the true crime series When They See Us and the superhero series Watchmen. He was nominated for an Emmy Award for his role in Watchmen. More recently, he starred in The Stand (2020–2021) and 3 Body Problem (2024).

About Jovan Adepo
Early Life and Education
Jovan Adepo was born in 1988 in Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire, England. His mother is from London, England, and his father is from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. His grandfather, Fatai Adepo, was an adviser to a former Nigerian President. Jovan moved to the United States with his family when he was two years old. He grew up in Waldorf, Maryland, where he enjoyed acting in school and church plays.
He went to Bowie State University in Maryland. There, he earned a degree in political science and philosophy. While studying political science, he also started taking classes in creative writing.
Starting His Acting Career
After finishing college in 2011, Jovan Adepo moved to Los Angeles. He originally wanted to be a writer. To earn money, he started taking acting classes to get roles in commercials. This is how he became more interested in acting. He learned from many great acting teachers, including Ben Guillory and Dianne Hull. Through his church in Maryland, he met the older sister of famous actress Viola Davis. She helped him connect with Viola Davis. Davis encouraged him to study acting techniques, watch plays, and read many scripts.

Jovan Adepo has been in several important films. In 2016, he starred in Fences alongside Viola Davis and Denzel Washington. He played Cory Maxson, the son of the main characters. Jovan was the only actor in the movie who had not been in the Broadway play version of Fences.
In 2017, he played a main character, Private Edward Boyce, in the action horror film Overlord. In this movie, he played an American paratrooper fighting Nazi super soldiers. He also appeared in the horror film Mother! in 2017. In March 2021, he was cast in the film Babylon.
