Juan de Dios Castro Lozano (born March 25, 1942 – died November 24, 2020) was an important Mexican lawyer and politician. He was a member of a political group called the National Action Party. He was born in Torreón, a city in Coahuila.
Juan de Dios Castro Lozano served many years in the Congress of the Union, which is like the main law-making body in Mexico. He was a member of Congress from 1979 to 1985, then again from 1991 to 2000, and once more from 2003 to 2006.
He also had a very important job as the President of the Chamber of Deputies from 2003 to 2004. This role is similar to being the leader of one of the main parts of the Mexican Congress.
Sadly, Juan de Dios Castro Lozano passed away on November 24, 2020, in Mexico City at the age of 78, due to a sickness called COVID-19.
