Juan Pablo Añor Acosta (born on January 24, 1994), known as Juanpi, is a professional footballer from Venezuela. He plays as an attacking midfielder for Greek Super League club Volos.
Juanpi played 146 games and scored 11 goals for Málaga in Spain. He spent four seasons in La Liga (Spain's top league) and three seasons in Segunda División (the second division). He also played on loan for Huesca in the top league. Juanpi has represented his home country, Venezuela, in the Copa América tournaments in 2016 and 2019.

Club Career Highlights
Juanpi was born in Caracas, Venezuela. He joined Málaga CF's youth team in 2009 when he was 15 years old. Before that, he played for his hometown club, Caracas FC. He spent several years playing for Málaga's youth squads.
Starting with Málaga
In the 2013–14 season, Juanpi moved up to play for Málaga's reserve team. He played regularly in the Tercera División, which is a lower division league.
Juanpi made his first appearance for Málaga's main team on August 29, 2014. This was also his first game in La Liga. He came into the game as a substitute in the 75th minute during a match against Valencia CF.
First Goals and New Contracts
On December 19, 2014, Juanpi signed a new contract with Málaga that would keep him with the club until 2018. He scored his first professional goal on January 6, 2015. It was the first goal in a 2-0 home win against Levante UD in the Copa del Rey (a Spanish cup competition).
Juanpi scored his first goal in a league game on January 23, 2016. He scored the tying goal in a 1-2 loss at home against FC Barcelona. Just seven days later, he scored another goal, helping Málaga win 2-1 against SD Eibar. He scored four goals during the 2015–16 season.
Changing Teams
Before the 2016–17 season, Juanpi changed his jersey number from 28 to 10. He scored Málaga's first goal of that season in a 1-1 home game against CA Osasuna.
On January 31, 2019, Juanpi was loaned to SD Huesca, another team in Spain's top league, until June of that year. He left Málaga on October 3, 2020, along with several other players.
After leaving Málaga, Juanpi joined Al-Ain FC in the Saudi Professional League on October 11, 2020. He then returned to his former club, Caracas FC, on June 27, 2022.
International Career
Juanpi has played for Venezuela's national football teams at different age levels.
Youth Teams
He played for the under-17 team in the 2011 South American Under-17 Football Championship. Later, he was part of the under-20 squad for the 2013 South American Youth Championship in Argentina. On January 29, 2013, he was also called up to play for the main national team.
Playing for Venezuela's Main Team
Juanpi played his first game for the senior national team on November 14, 2014. He came on as a substitute in a 0-5 loss against Chile.
He played one game for Venezuela in the Copa América Centenario in the United States. He came in as a substitute in the quarter-final match, which Venezuela lost 4-1 to Argentina. On September 6, 2016, Juanpi scored his first goal for the national team. It was the opening goal in a 2-2 home draw against Argentina during a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification game.
Juanpi was also part of the team for the 2019 Copa América in Brazil. He played in one match, a 3-1 win over Bolivia. This win helped Venezuela reach the quarter-finals of the tournament.

Football runs in Juanpi's family! His father, Bernardo Añor, was also a professional footballer. Juanpi's older brother, also named Bernardo, is also a footballer. All three of them have played for the club Caracas FC at some point in their careers.
