Juliette is a small, charming community in Monroe County, Georgia, United States. It is known as an "unincorporated community" and a "census-designated place" (CDP). This means it's a recognized area, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city.
The community is part of the larger Macon area. Juliette was named after Juliette McCracken, whose father was a railroad engineer. The town was formed when two smaller places, Brownsville and Iceberg, joined together. In 2020, about 290 people lived in Juliette.
Juliette became famous because the movie Fried Green Tomatoes was filmed there. After the movie, the buildings used for the town's main street were turned into a fun place for tourists. This included a real "Whistle Stop Cafe," just like in the movie!
